Summary | 0006508: Site documentation: The features/usermodes and features/chanmodes pages are out-of-date and cannot be changed
Description | Hi all, I was looking at https://www.unrealircd.org/docs/Features#User_modes and https://www.unrealircd.org/docs/Features#Channel_modes , and I noted that both are out-of-date. I compared both with https://www.unrealircd.org/docs/User_modes and https://www.unrealircd.org/docs/Channel_modes page, that are up-to-date. So I tried to update https://www.unrealircd.org/docs/Features#User_modes and https://www.unrealircd.org/docs/Features#Channel_modes page, but I got the error: "You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason: This page cannot be updated manually. This page is a translation of the page Channel modes and the translation can be updated using the translation tool." But I'm trying to update the global page, not the translated page.

Could you please point the differences? I'm unable to spot any difference betweeen any of the links you provided. |

PeGaSuS, thanks for reply. Example, Access Levels in https://www.unrealircd.org/docs/Features#Channel_modes has the module column all as "builtin" instead of modules names like chanmodes/voice, chanmodes/halfop, etc... Another example, in Channel settings inside https://www.unrealircd.org/docs/Features#Channel_modes is missing new mode +F. |

The way it works is that on the page, such as https://www.unrealircd.org/docs/User_modes, I have to mark the changes as ready to translate. That is a link at the top of the page that only me (and maybe 1 or 2 other staff) have access to. It is a manual step after a page has changed (a page that is available for translation). I just did so now, in "User modes" it was 1 word added, in "Channel modes" it was indeed a lot more. The subpages on the feature page (as you can see in their source) render the pagename/en version instead of just pagename. That's because if a user is in Features and chooses that whole Features page in French, then all the subpages should also be in French (if available). If I would just use {{:pagename}} there instead of {{:pagename/en}}, then for each sub-section they would have to reselect French again, which isn't nice. |

Thanks for your reply and further explanation, syzop! I was reviewing some pages of the documentation and noticed these differences, which is why I reported it. The page is up-to-date now. Thanks! |
