DescriptionHi There...
I think it should be a good idea to have the ability for setting usermodes on connect for specific IP-Ranges.

You should explain why you want such a feature to be added. Atm I can't see a valid reason why you would need it. If ppl can understand why you want it, your chances that it will be added are way better :)

Ok...
We use UserModes +x and +G for every User which connects...
There are several customers of shell-services which use IRC-Bouncers with ugly and/or fancy vhosts.

So how is it Possible to hide the real host / ip of a normal dynip isp customer and not to hide the host of bouncer-users?

How could we prevent Users from administrative machines to get +G automatically ?

Therefore I think, the ability to set "modes-on-connect" in an allow-block or class-block is very helpful.

In an other "Feature-Request" there is a thread about a restricted mode. With the ability so set usermodes in allow-blocks you can set special ISPs to restricted mode and the other not.

Got it?

Yeah, and moving set::maxchannelsperuser and some more options to allow{} blocks will make the configuration much more complicated...

I don't think so...
You have always to decide between two things:
- Something highly konfigurable and comfortable
- Something simple to configure...

I think that it is a good feature to have some of this config directives in an allow-block. But not only there.. IMHO it is best to have it additionaly in an allow-block to override systemwide config.
This could make UnrealIRCd more interesting for some support sites, or chat-systems from companies made for their customers...
