| Summary | 0000872: ban version does not work?! | ||||
| Description | used ban Version in config but server does not send "CTCP VERSION" to clients. Is there any additional config option which is at this moment not mentioned? Something like a define statement in config.h ? | ||||

You're going to have to be more specific, it works perfectly here: ban version { mask "*mirc*"; reason "testing"; }; [12:41] Closing Link: codemastr[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] (testing) |

I'm using the folowing statement which gets included by unrealircd.conf: ban version { mask "*showdown*"; reason "ShowDown is not wanted"; }; Without any manipulation at the sourcecode, a CTCP version is not seen at any client. Clients which are modified to answer the version String of mirc script showdown get not banned. A connection with telnet, and other clients, shows that no CTCP version request is done. |
