Summary | 0000881: *@*.xx not possible to gline
Description | i can see, that it can be bad, if you gline who tlds. but recently we had a cloneflood with about 300 clone, 100 ips and more than 50% was *.jp - and we wanted to gline *.jp and it tells "too broad mask" - that sux if this would be an easy way to get rid of the clones. you could add a /gline -sure or so, where all hosts are allowed. or just allow all masks, but you should be able to ban tlds somehow.

It's not a matter of we "want you to make sure" it's a matter of, "we don't want opers to be able to gline the entire network". If you want to execute a sweeping ban like that, then use /operserv akill. |
