| Summary | 0000910: Request for except throttle block list | ||||
| Description | 1. I miss a listing of except throttle blocks in /stats. 2. I would also be glad to see constant names defined in struct.h for excepts->flag.type instead of numbers, so the code would be much readable. I mean in s_serv.c -> m_stats() -> case 'E', case 'e' and case 'k', you used 0 and 1 in comparations. | ||||

I forgot to tell, but here is another request about documentation: 3. I can't see in the main documentation that except ban, scan and throttle blocks can contain as many masks as you want. |
Umm thats because they can't contain as many masks as you want, if you specify more than one, all but the last are ignored. |
And where is that ignore? The source says it works. Here is an example too: except ban { mask no.match; mask *@127.*; mask *@localhost.*; mask *@10.0.0.*; mask *wolf@*.vnet.hu; }; /stats E 216 E:*wolf@*.vnet.hu::: 216 E:*@10.0.0.*::: 216 E:*@localhost.*::: 216 E:*@127.*::: 216 E:no.match::: /kline AngryWolf *** Permanent Timed K:Line added for *@10.0.0.1 on Mon Apr 21 17:03:12 2003 GMT (from [email protected]: no reason) And I don't get killed. edited on: 04-21-03 17:20 |

Hmm well then I guess someone added it without ever telling anyone. But with regard to your original idea, the /stats command will be undergoing a redesign soon that will make it report statistics for every config directive. Basically it will support "multi-char-flags" ie, /stats logs would display log {} information. It will still support single characters for backwards compatibility, but it gives us the ability to not have to use letters that are confusing, for example /stats f = dccdeny. |
Hmm, good, I like the idea. And please don't remove the ability to define more than one masks in except blocks listed above (until there is no need for other directives in them). |
I know you're redesigning /stats soon, but "soon" is sometimes "in some months" or "much more later". So if you think it's not a little time, I will ask you to add yet another thing to /stats: ban version block list :) [And thanks. :-)] |
you are nice as usual... |
Syzop: you aren't either. Well, I don't indent to be rude, these are only my feature requests, not more. I can make them on my own, but I don't always prefer modifying source instead of seeing them in official releases... Codemastr: You told me patches were always welcome. Tell me if you need them, but IMO you could do it better. |
