If you installed as a service then it starts automatically, and its invisible, try going to the directory u installed Unreal IRCD in default C:\Program files\Unreal3.2\ open this directory in your command prompt which can be accessed by clicking start run the typing command or cmd. to change directory to C:\Program files\Unreal3.2 or whatever type Cd "program files\unreal3.2\"
then run "unreal uninstall" without the quotes and if it was installed as a service this will remove it then it will allow you to get to the GUI portion of WIRCD.exe |

Another note, be sure and check the service.log file, it will help you in debuging your configuration. Giving line numbers and possible erroneous strings/commands within the config it self, Since the Icon is appearing in the first place I wouldnt really try messing with the service thing, it doesnt seem that it is installed like that afterall, but it might be worth a shot, it could very well be similar to the problem im havin but mine just crashes out of no where. |

It would be nice if you gave us some actual information, like perhaps the version of Unreal you are using, the version of Windows you have. Is Unreal installed as an NT service? Does ircd.log/service.log say anything? |

i am taking the guess your ircd is doing like min eis when u start it up it runs in the background when u start it type ctrl alt del viw the task list and then look in processs and see if you can find wircd.exe if you can then it is running
