| Summary | 0000956: Users seeing rehash notices | ||||
| Description | Users that are connected to a server beeing rehashed sees the notices sent about the rehash beeing done. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Do a /rehash, check users status window. | ||||
| Additional Information | When I saw this problem I did a /getinfo on them using the module available on the modules page. Getinfo reports that every user not local to my server has got some operflags set. Mostly flags r and h, but sometimes alot more. I don't know if I can trust the getinfo module, but I haven't found any other way to see the operflags on non opered up users. Anyway, the r operflag is can_rehash so that could have something to do with the notices beeing seen by those users. Btw, their snomasks are all empty and they have no strange user mode. | ||||

Rehash messages are send to "sendto_ops" instead of "sendto_realops" which means normal users which set themselves +s will receive those notices. |

You can stop users from using that by using set::restrict-usermode "s"; or something. Oh and about getinfo, that's indeed Angrywolf's fault, he's reading out-of-bounds data. |
