Try +b *ios.@* |
that will keep out others with the same ident (what if it's a script's default ident for example). Maybe it's a bug in the ircd or smth... can you think of anything similar? |

Altough this is about Valek I ask some questions anyway: 1. was the person who placed the ban (SoToS1) at the same server as the evading-ban-person (kanen[a]s)? 2. How much time was between ban and join, were there also cases with X mins of time? (to rule out race conditions [lag]) 3. Does it only happen with cloaked ip's (blabla.IP) or also with cloaked hosts? |
They weren't at the same server and he (kanen[a]s) autorejoined after the k/b immediately (so did the others last night). it did happen a couple of times with cloaked hosts. |
hm ok that would rule out lag (2) and since you say it also happens with cloaked hosts (Prefix-343AHFs.blah.com) it's als not IP cloaked related, hmm... Are you cloaking keys the same at all servers (and are they lower than 4.2 billion or something?), I forgot if 3.1.* series check that while linking ;p. Or do you have mixed 3.1 <-> 3.2? |
No 3.1.x does not check if the cloak keys are the same or not. |
I matched my CLOAK_KEY's variables on my unrealircd.conf to be the same with the other ircd's on the network and the problem is now solved. Thanks for all your help. Also, i thought that when the cloak keys are different between 2 servers, they cannot be linked, or at least, we should get a warning! Nothing of these happened in my case, any suggestions? Should i log a new bug for that? |

renamed bug report. 3.2 checks for different cloak keys, 3.1 does not atm. |
