| Steps To Reproduce | For example: /wallops Permission Denied- You do not have the correct IRC operator privileges /chgident Permission Denied- You do not have the correct IRC operator privileges /sdesc (nothing) /mkpasswd (nothing) | ||||
| Additional Information | All I'm saying is that you should go through all the oper commands (and maybe others) and make the ircd send a notice to people if they don't have the correct privilages. | ||||

Why that? It warns already for invalid /oper attempts, I don't see the use to also warn for these types of things... (rather waste of time/code/need to remember it every time/handling flood etc) |

Not something really serious, but for example I wanted to change my servers description using the /sdesc command and when I issued the command nothing happened. I then realized I was't opered up at the time. Again it's a trivial little thing but when using some commands which are for opers only and you're not opered, I just thought it would be professional to add a "Permission Denied- You do not have the correct IRC operator privileges" for all commands that you are unable to use if you don't have the right privileges rather than some. Check the advanced bug report. |

Ohhhhhhhh I thought you ment broadcasting a warning to ircops ;). Yeah it should give such error messages but they are sometimes "forgotten". |

Fixed in CVS (.1808), I went trough /helpop ?opercmds and tried them all but there might still be others (??), if you find one, feel free to report ;p. |
