| Description | I once checked a non-Irc chat server, and each user joining a new channel received a backlog of the chan's last 10-20 Privmsgs. I found one day with Google an Ircd implemnted this feature but I lost the url :/ What do you think of a new channel mode that would do this ? It's very friendly for users, and let them know some clues about the discussion as soon as they join. Drawback is that could increase traffic on big networks, but admin might disable/tune it from config. | ||||

Something like this would be a tremendous drain on the server's resources. Why not set up a bot to do this? There are several mIRC scripts and Eggdrop scripts that could do this very easily. |
