/die terminates the ircd process, altho I beleave it saying usage: wircd [-h servername] [-p portnumber] [-x loglevel] when you /restart is a bug that needs fixed >>censored<< edited on: 07-13-03 20:29 |

Do you have unreal installed as an NT service? I can't seem to reproduce this problem... |
|
|
usage: wircd [-h servername] [-p portnumber] [-x loglevel] Only appears when it's not installed as an NT service. Altho when /die is issued when installed as an nt service it restarts (providing service settings 'recovery') it also dose this with /restart, but the /die is to kill the ircd process :/ But shouldn't these also work without the need to install as a service? For instance with *NIX you can /restart and it restarts the server even if you don't have it crontabed. edited on: 07-14-03 09:33 |

Hmm LRL, since you see to be actually reading these bugnotes, can you give me a little more info, which version of Windows do you use? If you run wircd.exe, then immediately connect, /oper then /restart it will give that error? Do you have a drpass { } in your unrealircd.conf? If yes, does it still happen if you remove the drpass {}? Also, as for /die not actually killing the IRCd in NT service mode, this should be fixed in the CVS version, and I'm currently working on making it so /restart doesn't wait for the 'recovery' time, that instead it restarts immediately. I'd like to try and get this problem tracked down as well, however I can't seem to reproduce it, when I /restart it works perfectly. |

On All versions of NT Based Windows, it seems that the /restart crashes the box, and the IRCD doesnt restart. I thought i would give a little input. |
