| Summary | 0001459: /SQLINE feature | ||||
| Description | As it occurs with Q:Lines and Sqline, you can "ban" nicknames but you cannot "denny" channels, only through .conf. I suggest that /sqline could ban channels, as the same way banning nicknames. /sqline #channel reason | ||||

Services have mostly a command like /chanserv forbid #channel, which close/forbid a channel. And when that is not enough, then put them into the unrealircd.conf. Maybe it is usefull, to make it a svscmd, so services can close/forbid a channel globally, without doing: 1. join the channel 2. kick all users outside 3. stay 15/30 seconds 4. chanserv part the channel 5. new user joins, and so on. But then, services must support that, without support, you can only use it with raw ;) |

Yes, I know how do services work. As you said, the only way to denny a channel is through /kick (or /svspart), but user is able to join it. I think to use the same raw of denny channel block. |

a quick ctrl+f would have shown you that this had been asked before: 0000935 "SQLINE command but for channel banning" on a sidenote, it's not on my personal todo list atm ;p. |
