| Description | When a user make +p he/she no longer seems registered. So it removes umode r. maybe it is a normal prodecure. When he again makes -p then +r comes back. But when he/she make +p even an ircop he cant see both modes. It is strange that sometimes we can see +p but cant see +r. When he removes +p then modes become normal(+rix) | ||||
| Additional Information | I dont think it is a bug...Or maybe bug but i cant understand why this kind of behaviour. Because at help.conf it is "p = Hide all channels in /whois and /who." As an ircop we can see all channels but cant see if it is registered or not. | ||||

Sometimes services dont get back topics etc at some channels. Can it be because of this? |

well I'm pretty sure Unreal isn't setting your client -r suddenly, what services package do you use? Perhaps have a look at that. My test was with ircservices btw. |

well i continue the test. i am using ircservices. If an ircop made +p to himself it wont remove +r. I will try it at a different user now. |

you know that you cant make yourself -r. And purgatory is a registered nick. I cant understand how he use a registered nick and dont have +r. yes maybe a services issue. Tomorrow i will again ask the ppl(there is more than one user) who can make this and report back. Sorry for disturb... |

OK here is is the +r thing. Well it isnt really about +p. They just want to take my attention to other way. Step 1 : You enter irc with nickname LoVeRbOy and identify it. LoVeRbOy is [email protected] * Bharata LoVeRbOy is a registered nick LoVeRbOy on ~#deluxe ~#opers Step 2: Then change nick to loverboy (no difference except i use small letters and no identify) * LoVeRbOy is now known as loverboy * loverboy is now known as LoVeRbOy Step 3: now whois report... LoVeRbOy is [email protected] * Bharata LoVeRbOy on ~#deluxe ~#opers So Although nick is registered it is no longer seems registered. hmm i think it isnt about services because services gives o a q to user and nick seems identified with status command. But You cant enter to channel +R and cant msg a user with +R. (if you are an ircop you can msg) You need a registered nick to join that channel. Hm, perhaps we shouldn't set -r in case of "case changes". |

This is a services problem ! I tested it here on kickservices (some kind of auspice) Changed nick from RoCkO to Rocko. Services debug: [Mar 27 20:01:08 2004] debug: Received: :RoCkO & Rocko 1080385529 [Mar 27 20:01:08 2004] debug: RoCkO changed nick to Rocko [Mar 27 20:01:08 2004] debug: Sent: :NickServ n Rocko +r 0 NickServ is sending the +r part. Maybe ircservices do not. |

Depends on how you look at it :p But yeah, other services seems to handle this fine (anope too). |
