Summary0001886: Crash Unreal 3.2
DescriptionHello,

I have a big problem with Unreal3.2, I use anope 1.7.3 and I have 2 links and since I installed Unreal3.2, it crash landing without explanation and when I starts again it (./unreal start) it puts:

Possible error encountered (IRCd seemily not started)
=====================================================
Check above for possible errors, and this output of
ircd.log. If you cannot solve the problem, read
Unreal.nfo on where to get support

Could you help me?

======>
Syzop:If you get a coredump (ls -al *core*, be sure to check the dates to see if they are recent) then you could report it on http://bugs.unrealircd.org.

[Oh and if it turns out to be anope's fault we'll just close the bugreport and refer you to them (usually with a meaningful technical hint ;p)]

You completely ignored with bugs.unrealircd.org told you to do when reporting a crash.

*NIX? Then include the output of the following commands:
gdb src/ircd core.file
bt
Also, if you use any 3rd party modules, list them as well. (More and more bugs are caused by 3rd party module bugs).

core.file should be the filenames you listed above. Do that for each one.

reporter   ~0006717

No where. We do not need nor want those files. Read what I told you to do.

Include the output of the following commands:
gdb src/ircd core.file
bt
Also, if you use any 3rd party modules, list them as well. (More and more bugs are caused by 3rd party module bugs).

core.file should be the filenames you listed above. Do that for each one.

codemastr

2004-06-19 20:49

reporter   ~0006719

First of all, it's gdb, not gbd. And second, no. I never said anything about it stopping crashes. That is what you do to REPORT a crash.

2004-06-19 20:54

reporter   ~0006720

so after this command, i copy to you ?

codemastr

2004-06-19 20:59

reporter   ~0006721

Yes, I've already said that twice now.

ok, for each core.* ?

reporter   ~0006723

Please read what I said already.

Yes, it must be for each file. This should not be so difficult to figure out.

You are running a modified version of Unreal. All of those crashes have occurred in things that have been modified. This is not a problem with Unreal, it is a problem with your modifications.

Whoever translated that obviously knows nothing about C, so I would not use it if I were you.
