| Description | I been having this problems for weeks. I have few diff boxes with FreeBsd 4.8 I thought it was box's problem but it was not. | Steps To Reproduce | you should have freebsd 4.8 compile unrealircd 3.2.1 on freebsd 4.8 just flood the ircd with your users. if your on irc network. point the dns to that one ircd. | ||||

Read it: Out of Memory Your system likely has a very low amount of free RAM. |

my system have 1 gig ram in it. I do not think it ran out of memeory. I think unrealircd is being stuborn anyway. |

It did. It says it's out of memory. That occurs when the system tells Unreal, "I'm out of memory." Feel free to argue with me as much as you like, but your system ran out of memory. |

Exactly. Furthermore, I have 512Mb ram and I can have >4000 connections if I configure stuff properly (FreeBSD 5.2.1, Linux 2.4, Linux 2.6, ..). Really, this isn't unreals problem. It's either your box' config (nice limits) or you are really out of mem. |
