oh, seem`s like I miss something, thnx

from codemastr last reply from report 0002350 :I say no one has provided any other reasons other than hiding from users, and therefore I'm deleting the report.

Does "hiding from users" so bad thing? This reply sound like "_I_ don`t want to implement this and _I_ don`t care about others."

i find hiding idle time from users as a ircop is Misleading and a false sense of security the _ONLY_ time i would want it is when i set +H and i walk into a bot room to wipe them out so they dont /quit the bots quickly becuz it doesnt say im a ircop... + doesnt show me up as active...

Maybe*** at the most it could be included in the +H mode since it " hides " the ircop, but i still agree with codemastr, a real reason is needed, not anything else

Not for ircop only, for all users. If you hide idle on +H ircops, then everyone can detect +H ircops, because they don`t have idle time.

then i dunno tigra :D
like codemastr said, in the other bug posts, he wants a _real_ reason to add this, its nothing to do with _him_ or _syzop_ liking it or not, its about if it will have a real purpose or not,
Not for ircop only, for all users. If you hide idle on +H ircops, then everyone can detect +H ircops, because they don`t have idle time.
but how is that different from the oper Vhosts on operup when they use +H?

White_Magic is [email protected]
sure i can change it, but the defeats the purpose of setting the vhost for oper up :D

First off, if you want to start in with condescending replies, I can gladly close this suggestion as well.

Second, you say "is hiding from users such a bad thing?" YES! I think it is. And guess what? You, along with the others, still haven't told me why it isn't! You just say, "it's not bad" but never give a reason. If you too do not wish to give a reason, then it still will not be added.

Somehow I doubt that the people who start such conversations take the time to check your idle before messaging you.
---

no, you not right. I saw many whois request on me if I doesn`t reply, when somebody ask me, privately or publicly. And if my idle time reseted, messages and /whois came again and again. If not, all stoped.
And I saw /whois request _before_ somebody message to me.

If you just want to restate the reasons people already gave, then the answer is "no."
