Summary0002791: Motd
DescriptionActually, this is not a bug. This is what I'll recommend, or suggest. Stskeeps redirected me to say it in here.

When we write a long line in motd, it automatically breaks the line and adds a new line.

For example:
The line that's written is:
Please read this motd carefully before starting chat on our network. This will guide to you every minute of your chat.

But it changes it into:
Please read this motd carefully before starting chat on our network. This wi
ll guide to you every minute of your chat. (under line)

Please do something for that or I am gonna go crazy.

Thanks from now on.

what I'm asking for is can't you make this charactes longer than 80? It will be good if it can be 100 - 110 characters. If you can not do, then it's ok, there's nothing much to do with it. That's a suggestion, I hope you care it.

Oh ok, no that's not possible.
Well in the ircd it is, but clients cut it off anyway (for example mIRC) or might do other weird things, so it's a baddd idea.
Also RFC1459 especially mentions this limit (quote: "each line no longer than 80 characters").
