I installed this on my friend's computer and it worked just fine. |

If you installed it as a service, you must uninstall the service and reinstall the service. Just reinstalling Unreal does not do this for you. Follow these steps http://www.x-tab.org/unreal.html#service and then these http://www.x-tab.org/unreal.html#service2 If you did not install Unreal as a service, be sure to completely remove Unreal, re-download it, then re-install it. Make sure you have all the proper DLLs that it needs to run. |
Let us know if the above worked or did not work |

As far as I know, I have all of the required DLLs, which ones do I need, I don't see any errors while loading a DLL I just see that Windows fails to run the program. |
After attempting to uninstall the Unreal service, did you restart your computer? After a restart, go to Start -> Run, and type in "services.msc". Make sure Unreal is not in the list of All Services. Attempt to run wircd.exe when this is done. |
Yes, I did and it still doesn't run. |
Confirmed Unreal will not run by using one of my own Server 2003 installs. This has been reported here, on the forums, and on IRC. Created bug 0003845 for this problem |
I'm not running Windows Server 2003, I'm running Windows XP Professional |
The other issue was updated to any Windows OS not running the MSVS redistributable package |
