| Description | Updated text: Unreal does not run without installing the redistributable package, even if all the DLLs appear to be there. Is this some MS BS, or is there something we can include with Unreal to fix this? --------------------- Original text: Unreal does not run on Windows 2003 or newer. On a vanilla install the OS gives the error "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem." This was not installed as a service, and all DLLs required to run are present on the server (according to Dependency Walker). | ||||

It appears even though it has all the DLLs it needs, installing the MSVS Redistributable package fixes this problem. EDIT: could it be we're still missing some sort of file, or is MS requiring something else entirely? |

Fixed in 3.2.8.1 release, automated installation of "official" redistr. package. |
