Summary | 0004321: Drop cmode +S, make cmode +c just strip everything and send to the channel.
Description | I've been thinking... cmodes for UnrealIRCd/InspIRCd might not be accurate / missing some stuff. --- 3.2.10.2 UnrealIRCd cmode +c == halts color coded text from sending to channel UnrealIRCd cmode +S == strips color / reverse Can't set a channel with +c and +S at the same time. --- 2.0 InspIRCd cmode +c == halts color coded text from sending to channel InspIRCd cmode +S == strips color / bold / underline / reverse text Can set a channel with +c and +S at the same time.. --- 3.5.0 charybdis cmode +c == strip color / bold / underline / italics / reverse / and send it to the channel. --- charybdis cmode +c just strips everything and sends the text on its way. What about dropping cmode +S and make cmode +c do exactly what charybdis does?

I'm fine with enhancing +S/+c to respectively strip or block bold/underline codes as well. I'll add a comment in 0004101. But I see now reason to rename +S to +c just because charsomething does this(!?), that makes no sense.. With 3.4.x you can easily decide not to load +S or +c, so then it's up to you if don't want them :) |
