Summary | 0006316: Configure what commands are allowed on a SHUN
Description | Currently you can only configure if you want to allow PART on a SHUN, we should be able to use a space delimited list of commands to allow. We could then allow commands we consider non-disruptive but will throw the person that is shunned off their tracks. People that might think they are shunned might do a simple /WHOIS or /ADMIN or /MOTD to see if the server is responding, so as such I would allow these commands if configured. This functionality exists in InspIRCd, you can also choose whether or not you want to remove text from parts and quits.

I don't disagree with this. Especially when the network is being target o a botnet spam attack, this would lead the attacker to believe that they're spamming at full speed when they're just talking to the void. |

Yeah this is a totally valid request and "a better SHUN" has been on my list for a while. The current SHUN is even more limited, it is pretty much like... just let the connection die... it is quite evil. I think the best duplicate for this is 0004055. And no I don't mind that you didn't find that one, we have 200 issues here :D. |
