See bug 0000801
For comfort: This should already be fixed in CVS :)

Unfortunately I am not able to look at backtraces or stuff. I just tried to speed up the process and gave you an answer that a developer would likely give you.

Anyway, you gave the build id of the beta15 release. The bug does exist in the release version, it was fixed after beta15 was released. So you either filled in the wrong build id or you aren't using any CVS version. In that case either upgrade your Unreal ( http://www.vulnscan.org/UnrealIrcd/faq/ ) or wait for beta16.

Just to clarify it again: I'm neither a developer of Unreal nor do I officially speak for them or something. I might be utterly wrong :)

so, that's the real build id
[ircd2@ns336 Unreal]$ src/ircd -v
Unreal3.2-beta15 build 1.1.1.1.2.1.2.29 2003/03/03 18:41:53

drwxr-xr-x 13 ircd2 users 4096 mar 19 05:33 Unreal
creation time of the build directory
got it with
cvs -d :pserver:[email protected]:/home/cmunk/ircsystems/cvsroot login
cvs -z3 -d :pserver:[email protected]:/home/cmunk/ircsystems/cvsroot co -r beta -d Unreal unreal

you still mean that it's not a CVS version ?

hehe :)

You used the beta revision. I guess that's only updated when a new beta is released.

There is also a devel revision, which you may want to use:
cvs -d :pserver:[email protected]:/home/cmunk/ircsystems/cvsroot co -r devel -d Unreal3.2 unreal

According to the changelog it contains the /who bugfix.

src/ircd -v will output something like:
Unreal3.2-beta15 build 1.1.1.1.2.1.2.1.2.1690 2003/03/18 00:18:59
(that's not from the most recent version though)

bota: as ora said, no you are not using the cvs version, you are running the stock beta15.

No further responses, assuming it is fixed.
