| Description | UnrealIRCd crashed, and a .core file has been generated (file is joined there). The ircd crashed some times, but I have seen the buffer was always the same : "PONG :hub.geniustest.net", so this time, I report the bug (if there is a one). | ||||

I closed all other duplicate win32 bugreports with the following reason: -- ** Massclose of random windows crashes ** This is now explained at the bugs.unrealircd.org mainpage: Windows: there are multiple resolver bugs in the windows version which make it crash after a while.. usually after 1 or a few days. This is nothing new, that bug has been in windows versions for a looong time, if you want a stable ircd we suggest you to use *NIX. There's a workaround however: you can disable dns lookups for clients by putting the following in your unrealircd.conf: set { options { dont-resolve }; }; -- I'll leave this one open. Anyone who is experiencing this problem should download the CVS build available from http://huizen.dds.nl/~syz/win-precompiled/b17-cvs20030821.exe This should correct all the resolver issues under Windows. |
